An Islamic Summer Camp
As Salam Alaikum Warehmatullahi Wabarakatahu!
Well.. we just had an amazing summer camp for kids at Al-Asr a few days ago, Alhumdulilah!
The camp was immensely educative & fun. The students were, MaβshaaβAllah, gifted with exceptional intelligence and creativity, regardless of being so young. We all had a great time building an amazing bond with the kids & among our fellow volunteers too, Alhumdulilah!
Here are some of the fantastic stuff that our girls made during the camp:
Some cool drawings and paintingsβ¦
And some moreβ¦ because I canβt get enough of them
Ah! Our lunch and that refreshing tea (coming from a non tea addict) was a source of relief to our sweet faculty & enthusiastic volunteers who had many sleepless nights preparing the teaching material for the kids, were by the courtesy of Al-Asr throughout the summer camp.
A glimpse of our learning material.
We had game sessions everyday for the girls where in we played indoor games like nasheed ul chairs, passing the parcel, finding the colour, blind fold catch etc.
To further motivate the kids we had kept a points system where in the girls could earn points from 10 to 100 for their participation, assignments & good conduct throughout the camp & at the end of the camp, four best students with the highest points were given these amazing hampers with loads of goodies & all the students were given consolidation prizes, certificate and a cute card from all the teachers & volunteers.
The best part of the summer camp was on the last day when the girls prepared a complete final day presentation all by themselves with fun skits that had good lessons in them, quizzes, nasheeds, game & presented it to the teachers & volunteers as a surprise. It was so overwhelming to see them dedicate so much to us with soo much love, MaβshaaβAllah. May Allah, The Most Loving bless them always Ameen .
And finally the last part of the camp was an excursion to a farm house with a pool, garden & gaming area where we all had an amazing time, Alhumdulilah! A well deserving & a joyful end of the camp for all our hardworking volunteers, teachers & students. And a big JazakAllahu Khairan Kaseerah to all my adorable fellow volunteers & faculty
Sis Maryam & Sis Arju being our very loving mentors. Sids being our decoration head. Zaini, our kids monitor. Ayesha, the all rounder. Lubbu, our schedule tracker & Yassu our dedicated student despite of being a volunteer :P.
